The Type 26 Rothesay-class frigate is a frigate class being built for the Royal Emmerian Navy and Royal North Point Navy under the Flexible Surface Combatant program. This program was created alongside the General Purpose Combatant program by the Emmerian Ministry of Defence to replace the REN's 21 Type 23 Northumbria-class frigates and the frigates of allied Commonwealth nations. Its primary role is advanced anti-submarine warfare, with auxiliary roles in air defence and general purpose operations.
