Royal Al-Saranidi Army
The Royal Al-Saranidi Army is the land-based military force responsible for defending Saranidia, providing peacekeeping or hunanitarian aid to other countries and defending Saranidia's allies with whom they have mutual defence treaties.
History
The Al Saranidi Army is traceable to when Emir Saladin II was halfway through consolidating his territory he gave his most loyal commanders(including members of the old Ayyubid Army and members of allied Al-Saranidi noble families) permanent commands for the the Army of the Emirate, appointing them Amīds of areas like Kallipolis, Benghazi and the Nile Frontier and appointing some as Beys(Generals).
Current deployments
Kyundao, Kurdistan and various place in North Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Recruitment
Recruitment occurs by many means: 52% of personnel have joined freely but there is also conscription for a year for young men at 18-25 years old. The most common reason given for joining is a desire to protect people/make a difference, with patriotism being the second most common, prestige the third most common and in the fourth place either a sense of adventure or the high pay (depending on which survey is used)
