Ryanne Marquise Barnes (born June 12, 1986) is an Allied Nations Navy Lieutenant Commander. She is the daughter of Governor and Presidential Candidate Frederick F. Barnes Jr.. She was involved in the Fort Maltese Prisoner Scandal and Trial as a prominent suspect, but was acquitted of most charges. Barnes is also a recipient of the Medal of Honor of the Allied Nations for leading a counterattack on an insurgent ambush on her gunboat, PT 104, and personally making the arrest of the ringleader. As of 2018, Barnes is the Executive Officer of the ANN Carnatica, an aircraft carrier of the AN Navy.
Early Life and Education
Ryanne Barnes is part of a set of triplets born to Willamina "Lamina" Barnes and Frederick F. Barnes on June 12, 1986, the other two being her brothers, Francisco and Frederick III.
Ryanne obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Florenz University, with a minor in Music Theory.
Military Service
Ryanne entered Officer Candidacy School in 2005 for the Allied Nations Navy, and received her commission in November of that year.
Ambush in the Jungle
In 2006, while on routine, solitary patrol on one of the many tributaries of the Amazona River, hidden insurgents opened fire on her Libertad-class ship, PT 104. Multiple eyewitness accounts laud her for her bravery and willful command of the vessel and its crew as the sixteen sailors aboard fended off the attackers. Leading a hastily put-together squad of four, she disembarked onto the embankment and pursued the fleeing criminals, capturing the ringleader personally. It was only later that she had discovered that a bullet had grazed her midsection in the combat. For her actions here, she was awarded the Medal of Honor by President Keegan, and received a promotion for gallantry in the field in March to Junior Grade Lieutenant.
Fort Maltese Prison Scandal
In 2008, photographs were leaked to the media depicting despicable treatment of prisoners at Fort Maltese Military Prison, where Ryanne was stationed. One of the photos depicted her posing with what appeared to be a deceased inmate. In January of 2009 she and twenty other officers, along with thirty two enlisted were arraigned before the Military Court for charges including Willful Mistreatment of a Prisoner, Gross Misconduct and Murder. After an extensive investigation done by the Assembly, Ryanne was acquitted of most charges, and received Administrative Desk Duty for Gross Misconduct.
Currently, Ryanne is the Executive Officer for the aircraft carrier Carnatica.
Personal Life
From 2007 to 2012, Ryanne was the lead bassist in La Muerte Roja, a Maracaibean punk band that performed at public venues. ||||
