Sahra alnn arms manufactury
Sahra Alnn Arms Company (SAAC)
The Company is founded in the region of Sahra Alnn, it has been around for 2-3 years in the Commonwealth of Qui latine. The arrangement of vehicles produced by Sahra Alnn is very diverse with many tank, firearms, aerial and support items ready for use. Khaled Byn Corro hasn't put any of the vehicles into a national manufactory, he asks that SAAC produces the arms themselves. He has also authorized the company to retain control of it's vehicles and men it produces, making them a sort of military faction in their own right, though remaining patriotic of Qui Latine, a few people fear they could take the country over by force if they wanted to.
In the first 2 months the company existed it focused on small arms, handheld weapons were their forte and they allowed civilian use of the weapons. They made a substantial amount of money, responsible for 38.4% of the arms manufactoring GDP that year. The AP series was the only line they were producing at the time, and it proved itself within the 2018 ' أعمال شغب أكتوبر or october riots ' when arabic tribesmen were using the AP series gun against military forces trying to put down the riot. After the riots SAAC was ordered to stop selling the weapons to the tribesmen, patriotic as they were, they had already planned to put the tribesmen on a blacklist for buying the arms. Throughout the rest of the year the use of the AP series in riots was lowered by 85%, which pleased Khaled Corro, giving them a grant of 20 billion to continue their work.
The following year the company began on MBT, light tank, paradroppable vehicles, and other specified vehicles. It roped it 22.8% of the arms manufactoring GDP that year, less than last year but still a powerful influence. multiple new projects were brung to center stage, while the AP series didn't aquire any upgrades that year. This time their goods weren't sold to the common people, the tribesmen or even the government. They were sold to generals in the army that had been waiting a long time for requested reinforcement, which made argueably less money than selling to the common folk, but they saw it as supporting the Commonwealth of Qui Latine. During the 2019 period they made somewhere between 5-10 new vehicle models, each customizable with their own systems. This year they diverted 11% of their production to the ' Synsero Corp. ', which was supposedly a new division to help with the defense of the towns of ' Al Dessero ', ' Pick 90 ' and ' Synaud Patrai '. It was the first of many privately owned divisions produced by SAAC, with a total of 300,000 people becoming part of what was known as the ' Sahran Alnn Private Defense forces. '.
Today it projects it's power through the Sahra Alnn Private Defense forces, using them to take down local Arabic tribesman riots and seize local resources from territories unclaimed by nations nearby. The founder of SAAC is a man named ' Hased Basha Duman ' still believes in his country, even though it is realativly poorer than most of the nations in Anteria. Hased uses the SAPDF to serve himself but has promised that in the event of war between Qui Latine and one of the surrounding nations.
Sahra Alnn MBT series
The K-19 Basa-Beha
The First of two MBT tanks produced by SAAC was named the ' KS-19 Basa-Beha ', after a hyena den in the town of Al Dessero. The aim of the tank was to produce a vehicle capable of clearing large desert expanses as well as urban areas such as towns and cities, while also not being too heavy. It had a full design phase of 3 months, with the final design seeing testing just 20 days before the release of the vehicle into commercial and military use. It is crewed by 5.
It sports a 144.8-mm gun that arches a full 4.5 meters from it's start at the turret. The gun has a noteable three features that make it differ from similar vehicles, one being a well pronounced mantlet for the base of the gun with armor like that of the rest of the turret, protecting the base of the gun while also having holes in it to let off some initial gases. Second, it could angle it's main gun up to 45*degrees upward and 12.5*degrees down, so that it could clear targets above it very effectively. Thirdly, it had a muzzle break 4-cm from the end of the gun, effectively eliminating any remaining gas as well as quieting the sound of the shot subtansially. The first type of round that the gun might fire was FSKP or a ' Fin Stabilized Kinetic Piercer ', which focused on the speed of a round towards an enemy target. During Flight is would shed 4 3.5-cm fins from it's sides that had brought it to a straight and fast tregectory, meaning at this point it was already going pretty fast and now it lost more weight. Once it makes contact it makes a wreckage of the target with stunning accuracy supplied by the ' LRD 2 ' system. Second it might fire an HEI or a ' High Explosive Incendiary ' round, which has multiple sulfur and phosforus elements that egnite multiple explosives on contact with a target, letting out a great inferno at the target destination. It had a total of 43 FSKP rounds, and 20 HEI rounds ready to fire when it entered a battlefeild.
The LRD system was made to help tanks hit their target even if it was hiding in bushes or under the ridge of a hill. When a gunner steps up to fire, an electric display screen lights up where they are about to put their eyes to find a target (before hand they are instructed to wear light resistant contacts so that the light won't effect their eyesight). When they begin to find their target they are looking at a projection supplied by a camera sitting deep in the turret facing out. A red dot is planted in the middle of the screen accordingly based on range supplied by the camera (which the zoom can be changed on with a nob left of the targetting system). Some versions of the system (including the LRD 2) have a more powerful range finding system, that will tell the crew if they will be able to pierce the tank from that distance after they referance a combat manuel.
A new system granted to the Basa-Beha was the SALVO system. The SALVO system attempts to pierce vehicles otherwise unpenetrable by firing 3 of the same kind of ammo in rapid succession (which are loaded into a seperate part of the automatic loader). The 3 shots will all hit the same spot, attempting to force an opening through damage happening over and over. The system can also be used with HE and HEI shots, in which it acts like a sprinkler firing the 3 shots in close proximity of eachother, but making sure they cover a larger area with whatever damage they are looking to inflict.
It's primary coaxial armorment is a 8.84-mm machinegun developed by the government itself, though Qui Latine scrapped it, The Basa-Beha looked like the perfect test run for some upgrades on the ' HT-195 '. The new model became known as the ' HT-198 ', which brang with it a longer firing time before it would overheat. The way it was done was by adding a small gas releaser at the tip of the gun, aswell as a iron-sulfate heat absorber at the beginning of the barrel. With the new upgrades it could fire for up to 1.3 minutes straight without cooling. It fired at 800 rounds per minute, and had 4000 total rounds to use before it was out of the game.
It's secondary coaxial armorment was a 2 tube missle launcher mounted left of the crew hatch on top of the turret. It fired two rockets in rapid succesion up to 3000 meters away, each 120-mm. Much like the HEI they focused on lasting fire and structural damage, with sulfur pellets spraying from the missle and setting aflame at their target destination. It had 10 rounds stored in a compartment underneath the roof of the turret, and denting in another 120mm from the height space in the turret, each loaded through short clip belt to each of the missle barrels, making reload very quick.
It had 2 types of armor on board, one of which was passive armor, like that of most tanks, it is layers of metals and other materials to block enemy rounds without moving a muscle. It was a composite of Steel and Iron-sulfide, which made plates of 120-mm of thickness, which on 90% of the tank (excluding the bottom) was spaced with 30-mm of air before another plate would follow making the entire armor 270-mm thick. On the Bottom it'd be a single layer thickened to 160-mm, with similar skirt plates on the sides of the treads.
Secondly it had reastive armor, a layer of explosives underneath 20-mm of Steel, which covered 80% of the vehicle. Overall the thickness of the reactive armor was 50-mm. When a round were to come in contact with the reactive armor, it would blast back at contact, exploding a section of the explosives, deteriating the speed of the round. The reactive armor system was nicknamed ' HYENA ', and it covered all of the tank except the front of the turret and tank, fearing the force would do damge to the crew or ammo inside.
The engine was nicknamed the ' cheeta's legs ', the name was adopted as the ' CL-V8 '. The engine had 8 cynlinders and operated on deisel, burning 8 liters for every mile it went, storing 400 and a reserve of 150 in the event of needing to run back to HQ for fuel. It produced 1,200 horsepower tugging along the 65.3 ton vehicle at 65km/h. It had a see-saw like suspension system, where each 2 wheels on each side of the treads would have one get higher and one get lower. There were 12 wheels on each tread making for the required high amount of wheels for the see-saw system to run at it's best. Though it has one distinct disadvantage of speed in jungles and forests because the force against the wheels just translates to the system believing it needs to change elevation.
It has CBRN (chemical biological radioactive nuclear) which helps filter air in any enviroment through closed hatch systems . It also has an air conditioning unit below the oxygen stores, that keeps the crew cool enough. The crew wears kevlar even though they are in the vehicle, as well as strong glass visors connected to strong Steel helmets, reason being the protection against fragmentations from penetrations. The vehicle is 14 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, and 3.2 meters tall. The Turret make up for 2.2 meters of the height, being 8 meters long, and 4.6 meters wide (just lipping over the edge on either side.).
The K-20 Ceima
The Second of the two MBT tanks produced by SAAC, it is name the ' KS-20 Ceima ', after a tribal group that cooperates with the Qui Latinean government for protection in exchange of traditional hand made goods. The aim of this tank was to make a capable tank killer that could sit waiting in the vast deserts picking off targets, easily complimented with it's dinstinct desert camo. It's design phase took 4 months, the design phase taking 2 months, and 2 months of testing and checking over overlooked aspects. It is crewed by 7.
It sported a giant 184-mm gun (seperate parts of the gun could bring the width up to 192.2-mm, but in the case of the shells it fired, 184-mm.). It stuck 6 meters out from it's start at the turret, to it's end. It has two major features that set it apart from other cannons on similar tank destroyer vehicles. first a Iron-sulfate heat absorber at the base of the cannon, which would swallow up most of the heat as the bullet passed through the barrel, making it less common to overheat. Second, a muzzle break 2-cm from the end of the barrel, letting out most of the gases that are produced when the weapon fires. It fires three types of rounds, first the FSKP ' Fin Stabalized Kinetic Piercer ', which in this case carries 3 4-cm wide fins on the outside of the sheel, which guide the shell until it sheds the fins about halfway, making it lighter and leading to a fast, heavy hitting round. Second the SAP or ' Sulfur Armor Piercer ', which rather than the name might imply, it doesn't aim to pierce armor made of sulfur, but rather to use sulfur in the weapon equation. It acts like a normal shell until impact where it shoots flaming hot chunks of metal through the armor, not aiming to pierce with a large shell but with a fragmentation process. Lastly an HEI shell, which in this case is just scaled up. The Vehicle uses an RFT targetting system. A total of 60 rounds.
The RFT or ' Range Finding Thermal ' Targetting system uses thermal signatures to find a target, acclimating for the average temperature of the day it also finds range by the heat emitted from the engine of an enemy vehicle, which will shine brightest among the vehicle's components. It's takes the shape of goggles in the hull of the tank, where a crewmate will put their eyes to see the world through the screen display there (beforehand they are instructed to wear light protection contacts so the screen doesn't hinder their visability later on or during battle.). A black dot in the center of the scope is adjusted to range parameters, not being red reason being the already red heat signature. The information is supplied via cameras below each headlight.
It also has a cannon stabilizing system onboard, meaning as it drives the cannon stays completely horizontal, so it can fire and hit it's target at a higher rate (assuming it's driving forward because the gun can only face where the tank is facing.). The stabalizing system is electrically operated by a GPS system, to tend to the changes in elevations during travel.
It has one 8.84-mm ' HT 198 ' Machine gun in the turret, which has already been mentioned in the Basa-Beha's statistics. Secondly it has a 20-mm L-20M autocannon, which fires small HE rounds at a rate of 400rpm. The L-20M has two bands of Iron-Sulfate, one at the end, and one at the beginning at the barrel to absorb heat the weapon produces. 2000 rounds for both weapons.
The Armor in this vehicle is made up of 3 parts, first passive armor which you find on any ordinary military vehicle. The Passive armor of the Ceima is a composite of Steel and Steel AO19B (which has 8% carbon-phosphate in it's mix). The two materials form 120-mm plates, with two sets of Steel each 30-mm wide surronding the inner Steel AO19B which is 60-mm wide. The plating is spaced with 30-mm of air between each plate, and all sections of the tank have two plates, while the side skirts on the treads are 1 plate. In total the majority of the tank should have armor with a physical thickness of 270-mm.
Second a reactive armor of 60-mm. This type of armor is basically completely C4 explosives, being activated by the touch of an enemy round a small section with explode attempting to force the round to peices. It covers all but the bottom of the tank, where the fear of injuring the crew doesn't exist in this tank is because of the stronger passive body armor.
Lastly a phycological kind of armor, camoflague. The pattern is made up multiple desert camos that have been developed by the Qui Latine tank administration. It it layed over all of the tank except wheels, treads, and external components.
The engine is a 10 cylinder version of the ' CL-V8 ' deisel engine. It makes for 1,800 horsepower which forces the 22 ton vehicle at a speed of 60km/h. It has a similar see-saw suspension system to the Basa-Beha, with each pair of wheels either bracing for an incline or the angle down of any hill or mountain. On Either side 18 Wheels, which made the vehicle consume up to 12 liters of fuel a mile, which it stored a total of 500, 100 in reserve for when it needed to tuck tail. The system works great for deserts and plains but has trouble in wet climates.
Being in the vehicle required a life support backpack, which had 20 liters of oxygen and plenty of rations stored inside. The oxygen could be used in toxic and underwater enviroments through a rebreather. An AC unit ran the backside of the turret structure letting cool air into the turret and hull. The crew was to wear ceramic body armor, helmets, and visors inside the tank to protect against shrapnel. The Vehicle is 16 meters long, 6 meters wide and 6 meters tall, with the turret structure making up for 2 meters of the height. The turret ran 11 meters long and 5.4 meters wide.
