The Sea Spear is a short to medium-range surface to air missile derived from the Skybolt missile.
History and development
The unadopted Skybolt 90 laid the groundwork for what would become Black Spear, the missile from which Sea Spear is derived. It would have improved upon the Skybolt in a number of areas with a dual-mode seeker and further ECM hardening but development shifted toward a new missile which would become Black Spear.
