First Division

Season 00/01 1st Division

The soccer season kicked off with a promising clash between Wohia Kickers and Legio Loewenburg, but Lords and Plebs FC put an exclamation mark early on with a convincing 5-0 win over Baltika. The league promised to be exciting from the start and King's Team took an early lead, as they did last season. Although the usual suspects were to be found in the upper reaches of the table, changing results made for an unpredictable season. King's Team managed an impressive four-match winning streak, but this was brought to an end by Borussia Walste. This broke King's Team's dominance early on and they ended up playing in mid-table, occasionally impressing with attacks on the top of the table. Borussia played a generally very inconsistent season. Strong against favourites, weak against underdogs, Borussia wandered around in the middle to the top of the table. VfR Wengen, on the other hand, suffered four consecutive defeats and spent the entire season at the bottom of the table. Legion Loewenburg stood out with heavy defeats or impressive victories, while the Haschborg team remained unbeaten for six games. Not impressive records, but merely an expression of the varied season, culminating in a brilliant finale. The bottom half of the table was dominated by Wengen and Kaiserclaw, with Kingsund joining them later. Thuringia also remained at the bottom of the table for a while, but in the end was also able to challenge at the top, although the title contenders were never in danger. In an important duel, Kaiserclaw secured a victory in the ninth matchday round against Hansa Kolsche, who were in first place at the time. Another reflection of the strong and highly exciting season. The top spot remained fiercely contested, with big wins including Bellask's impressive 5-1 win over the King's team. Hansa Kolsche had a long run, while the rest of the top flight weakened. SC Lowenburg surprisingly placed high in the middle of the table, after their disastrous last season and bottom place until halfway through the season. Hansa Kolsche began to weaken after six games, while SC Lowenburg moved up to first place. Jugend Bellask also played at the top for a long time but ended up losing game after game. The top four clubs began to pull away and the gap to the lower places widened. Gevla briefly jumped to third place after being tied with Kaiserclaw and Wengen for 18th place for a very long time. The end of the season was approaching and there were constant changes at the top between five clubs. The final matchday brought the ultimate excitement: the derby between King's Team and Legio Lowenburg and the all-important game between Hansa Kolsche and Lords and Plebs FC for the title (62 points against 64 points). Hansa, already in last place for a long time during the season, surprisingly had to face first-place Lords and Plebs FC after a series of defeats. A two-point difference guaranteed absolute suspense in the final game. Hansa Kolsche won the decisive game 1:0 and narrowly, but deservedly, secured the title. Eisenberg FC secured third place, while FC Kingsund and Jugend Bellask were relegated. Kaiserclaw had to face Wengen in the relegation play-off, having saved themselves just in time. An eventful season thus came to a dramatic conclusion, characterized by highs and lows, exciting duels and the deserved winner Hansa Kolsche.

Second Division

Season 00/01 2nd Division

The first official season of the Second Division kicked off with a match between Rosenville, the reigning champion, and Olympia Loewenburg. Olympia, hailing from the capital and joining the ranks of the three giants SC Loewenburg, King's Team, and Legio Loewenburg, triumphed with a 3-0 victory. The first matchday also featured a thrilling derby between Eintracht Alterwar and Bellersche Eintracht, with Alterwar narrowly winning 1-0. Olympia Loewenburg established an early lead after four games, while the top positions became fiercely contested between Esse, Neustadt, Rosenville, Wohia, and Ulm. In the lower half, teams like Voltra and Energie Königseck found themselves struggling. Voltra, however, ended their poor streak with a 5-0 victory over Haschborg 04, while Energie Königseck, having finished last in the previous season, continued their winless streak. Olympia Loewenburg embarked on a positive streak, only halted by a draw on Matchday 5. Olympia remained the sole unbeaten team in the new season. The sixth matchday featured a top clash between first-placed Olympia and fourth-placed Esse, ending in a 1-1 draw, preserving Olympia's unbeaten run. Alterwar, the pursuer, couldn't capitalize on the draw. However, Gloria Augusta FC ended the streak on the seventh matchday. Alterwar seized the opportunity, moving one point ahead to claim the top spot, while Danubia Ulm secured second place, and Königseck notched their first victory. After another victory, Olympia dropped to seventh place. Danubia led the table, followed by BFC Neustadt, Wohia, Haschborg, and Alterwar. In the lower half, Königseck fought at 17th place, above Nord-Ost FC, Burgsport, and Lens. In the title race, Danubia and BFC Neustadt continued to pull away. Danubia shocked by sweeping third-placed Eintracht Alterwar 5-0. On Matchday 9, the first FC Danubia Ulm faced second-placed Neustadt, where BFC won 2-0, securing the top spot with 31 points. The rest of the table remained closely contested. However, it was a different story for Danubia, overtaken by Haschborg by Matchday 18, with BFC establishing a 5-point lead. By Matchday 23, the lead had extended to 14 points. After a long winning streak, BFC Neustadt suffered their first defeat against TSG Urwald. In the lower half, Lens, Burgsport, and Nord-Ost FC battled for survival. Surprisingly, the champion Rosenville found themselves plummeting. On Matchday 34, four games before the season's end, BFC Neustadt celebrated the championship. The succession for the direct promotion spot and the relegation spot was still wide open, contested by Neustadt, Kaersting, Danubia, Gloria, Haschborg, and Wohia. Already relegated was 1912 Burgsport. Danubia, too, had been left behind and had little chance for the relegation spot. On the final matchday, all promotion candidates successfully defended their positions. Haschborg secured direct promotion, and with a two-point margin, 1. FC Wohia claimed the relegation spot. There, they faced 1. FC Kaiserclaw, whom they defeated. Kaersting finished fourth, followed closely by Danubia, Gloria Deinze, and Bellersche Eintracht. In the relegation battle, alongside 1912 Burgsport, Gymnasium Michalinde faced direct relegation on the last matchday. Despite initially competing at the top, they lost game after game and deservedly became direct relegation candidates with 21 defeats, dropping to the third league. TSG Urwald occupied the relegation playoff spot with Nord-Ost FC, while Energie Königseck and VfL Lens secured safety. Major clubs such as Olympia Loewenburg, SpvGG Essen, and SV Rosenville surprisingly found themselves quite low in the standings. A draw in the match between Kaiserclaw and Wohia postponed the thrilling relegation duel to the second round. However, Kaiserclaw managed to secure their status with a 2-0 victory, ensuring their presence in the first league next season. An exciting season!

Season 00/01 Third Division

Third Division

The season kicked off with an exciting opening match between 1. FC Sturmgrad and Eintracht Verl, where Sturmgrad narrowly triumphed with a 3-2 victory. In the initial games, St. Leypzig Kreuz emerged as the only unbeaten team, as LFC Schwarzlord suffered a shocking 5-1 defeat against 1. FC Sturmgrad. In the early days of the season, Sturmgrad was in contention at the top, but towards the end of the season, they consistently found themselves in a relegation position. The winning streak of Leypzig Kreuz also came to an end on Matchday 5 with a setback of 2-0 against Eisenberg Stadt. Eisenberg Stadt had been lingering in the lower half of the table for a while and, unfortunately, couldn't secure their position by the end of the season. On the other hand, Hartberg went six games without a win. At the top of the table, there was intense competition among several groups vying for the top spots. Jugend Lowen FC faced off against LFC Schwarzlord, with Thuringia and Leipzig also in the mix. In a top match between third-placed LFC and the leader Jugend Lowen, LFC emerged victorious. FC Thuringia capitalized on Jugend Lowen's positive streak and surpassed them with an impressive run of 11 games without a loss. The subsequent clash between Thuringia and Jugend Lowen saw Jugend Lowen emerge as winners with a 2-0 score, maintaining pride in having only two losses in 15 games. In another eagerly anticipated match, Jugend Lowen faced Waupun FC and demolished them with a dominant 4-0 victory, reclaiming the third spot in the table. Schwarzlord led the table until Matchday 36, when they suffered a 1-0 defeat in another top match against Jugend Lowen FC. They had won in the first half of the season, but this defeat cost LFC crucial points for a promotion spot, narrowly missing out. On the final matchday, much was still undecided, with positions 1 and 3 confirmed, but the order still uncertain. The battle for fourth place was still fiercely contested. At the bottom, everything was also up in the air. Gymnasium Wengen won their game and now has a 3-point and 3-goal advantage over LFC. Fortuna Friedelsheim surprisingly fought their way from the bottom to the top and even held the first position. However, a victory from Jugend Lowen FC reclaimed the top spot. The draw between LFC and Eisenberg Stadt sealed their 5th place. Jugend Lowen FC and Fortuna Friedelsheim secure direct promotion, while FC Thuringia and Gymnasium Wengen Football secure the relegation playoff spots. There, they will play against Nord-Ost FC and TSG Urwald 1899. Both win their games, and four third-division teams will play in the second league next season. Fortuna already clinched the championship last season, and this time, they are promoted. Relegated teams are Viktoria Deinze, finishing last, along with 1. FC Sturmgrad, FC Eisenberg Stadt, SC Arbeiter Union, Eintracht Verl, and TuS Autenried. Only teams from the southern part of the country avoid relegation, while two northern teams are relegated.

The Cup

Round 1: A Surprising Start

The opening match between Union Mannhausen and FC Kingsund promised excitement as a third division team faced a top-tier opponent. Despite Mannhausen finishing fourth in the last tournament, it wasn't enough, and they narrowly lost 2-1. Second-division side Rosenville defeated Thuringia West – not a big surprise, considering Rosenville was the vice-champion last year. The clash of sports clubs between Arbeiter Union and Loewenburg ended in a surprise, with Arbeiter Union eliminating the top-tier team. St. Löwenstein achieved a revolution by beating this season's lionsroar champion, Hansa Kolsche, 2-1. The previous cup winner, Excelsior Erwangen, won a fundamental game 3-2 against top-tier FC Haschborg. The highly anticipated match between Lords and Plebs FC and Legio Loewenburg, both top-tier teams, ended in a draw. Incredibly, many top-tier teams have already been eliminated, often facing each other. One-third, or 6 teams, are still in the race for the cup. In contrast, the Second League is as strong and present in the cup as ever.

Season 00/01 Cup

Rounds 2 and 3: The Second and Third Division Teams

Rosenville was ultimately eliminated after a defeat against Nordische Kickers FC. SC Arbeiter Union eliminated another top-tier team, 1. FC Kaiserclaw, with a convincing 2-0 victory. Danubia defeated the previous year's winner, Excelsior Erwangen, eliminating all the favorites. Second-division champion BFC Neustadt impressed with a remarkable 5-1 victory over Olympia Loewenburg. Now, there were 5 top-tier teams, 6 second-division teams, and 5 third-division teams – everything was very balanced. Arbeiter Union's run ended against second-division side Energie Königseck. Nevertheless, third-division teams demonstrated a dominant and strong performance. There were still 2 top-tier teams, three second-division teams, and 3 third-division teams in the competition.

Round 4: Sensations and Defeats

In an incredible spectacle, Königseck won 5-1 against top-tier FC Kingsund after a 3-3 draw in the first round. Gloria Augusta FC defeated another top-tier team, ensuring no top-tier teams were left in the cup. The remaining two second-division and third-division teams faced off in the semi-finals. After victories by Gloria Augusta FC and Energie Königseck, there was now a pure second-division final. The defeats of Eintracht Archipel SV and St. Löwenstein led to a pure third-division game for third place. Eintracht Archipel SV secured third place with a 5-1 victory. After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, Gloria Augusta FC won the cup final. Once again, second-division teams won the cup and were runners-up, while third-division teams secured third and fourth places. Top-tier teams have once again disappointed.
