The Second Army was a field army of the Royal Confederate Army during and in the years preceding the Northern War. It fought for nearly the entire duration of the conflict, spending most of the time in Cherniya before it was forced to withdraw following the Letnian Spring Offensive.

History

The Second Army was one of three field armies in existence before the outbreak of the Northern War, along with the First and Third Armies. It was assigned to protect western Jedoria and thus took little part in the originally fighting, but later helped force all Letnian troops from Jedorian soil. The Second Army was the principle Jedorian force during Invasion of Cherniya (1941), during which it drove south-east along the coast until it eventually settled into the Siege of Novokirov, where it would remain for nearly three years. The Second Army saw relatively little action compared to the rest of the Royal Confederate Army fighting during the war. Following the collapse of the RCA during the Letnian Spring Offensive, the Second Army became at risk of being cut off by the Letnian advance and was forced to break the siege of Novokirov, withdrawing rapidly back west towards Jedoria, abandoning most of it's heavy equipment along the way. It was later ordered to mount a defense of Voronezh against the advancing Cherniyan-Letnian forces, but it was able to offer only minimal resistance.
