Shams Ubari (August 17 1945 - March 20 1986), also known as Abu Ubari,was a Salamati soldier, known for being the 2nd leader of the People's Salamati Resistance Front. He founded the radio station Voice of Free Salamat and bought arms from Khirmania during times of tension. He was killed by a member of the Gendarmerie at a roadblock near Al Khadash, a suburb of Hani.
