The Siida is the lower house of the legislature of Alriika. Alriika is a unique state as the lower house of the bicameral legislature is a direct democracy and technically has no elected officials. In lieu of such, every citizen age 18 or older is considered a member of the lower house, the Siida, by default. Participation is voluntary but highly encouraged, as regular participation in government is seen as a civic duty.

Previously, this meant that votes took place in pre-determined polling places in the country, while deliberations for said bills took place in other public places, which were often the same building. Today, this is possible via an app and a website, though these polling places still exist in the more rural areas of Alriika. Citizens can propose legislation as well, needing merely 30,000 signatures to be added to the docket. The Siida is administered by the Siida Executive Committee, which is a non-elected position appointed by the Ringet. The Executive Committee is tasked with the well-being of the Siida itself, encouraging membership, and administration of votes and petitions themselves.
