The Skavian Moderate Party (M), commonly referred to as the Moderates (Moderaterna), is a Skavian liberal-conservative political party. It supports tax cuts, the free market, civil liberties and economic liberalism. Internationally, the party is a full member of the International Democrat Union and the Keacerian People's Party.
The party was founded in 1904 as the General People's League (Allmänna folkförbundet [ˈâlːmɛnːa ˈfˈɔlksfœrˌbɵndɛt]) by a group of conservatives in the Riksdag. The party was later known as The Right (Högern [ˈhø̌ːɡɛɳ]; 1938–1967). During this time, the party was usually called the Conservative Party outside of Skaven.
