Sloverti Wine

Slovertia is one of the Astyria's main exporters of wine. Sloverti wine making is part of the nations identity with wine being produced in three main wine regions. Annually 27 million hl of wine is produced in Slovertia. Sloverti wine is exported around the world. Wine making was popular in Slovertia for centuries before Beriquois rule however under the rule of Berique modern techniques such as bottling and barrelling were introduced which saw the Sloverti wine trade soar. In this time period the main Sloverti wine regions came into formation and wine cultivation continued to explode in popularity well after Slovertia gained its independence in 1815.

Wine Regions and Varieties

Bondrá is one of the most popular producers of wine in Slovertia

There are four main wine regions in Slovertia. The are located in the Northwest Stredna region. the other in central Stredna. One in the central Kojbakvy region and one in the west of South Mazuria. However it is often accepted that the finest wine comes from Strecna where it has been used in cuisine and as a vital source of income in the rural uplands. The most notable wine produced in this region comes from the Bondrá company which is thought to be one of the finest wine makers in Slovertia and Astyria. The wines made in Slovertia are mostly red wines. Barbera grapes are often grown in north Stredna with the largest Barbera vineyards being located just north of the town of Turvías. It is this variety that the company Bondrá was created to produce with the variety quickly becoming the nation's favourite variety. There are seceral native varieties of grape specific to Slovertia.
