SpiceAir Private Limited, operating as SpiceAir, is a full-service regional airline with its head office in Terminal 2 of Hiriyur Airport in Hampi. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Tennai Airlines and operates scheduled passenger services from Tennai to 186 cities in 34 countries within Siduri. As the regional wing of Royal Tennai Airlnes, it serves the short to medium haul destinations in the Royal Tennai Airlines Group network. On 18 May 2016, Royal Tennai Airlines announced that the SpiceAir fleet would undergo a major cabin product upgrade from 2018.

Services

Cabins

There are two classes of cabins on all SpiceAir flights - Business class and Economy Class. The Business class seats on all aircraft are in a staggered 2-2 arrangement which allow every seat access to the center aisle. Economy Class seats on all aircraft us a standard 2-2 seat configuration. Economy Class seats have a width of 18.3 inches and a pitch of 31 inches and Business Class seats have a width of 18.3 inches and a pitch of 36 inches

In-flight entertainment

SpiceAir offers a selection of magazine titles on board and screens a selection of features on the 11-inch inflight screens on the back of each seat and the front of the aircraft. The Spicewinds inflight magazine is complimentary for all passengers. In-seat audio is also available on TAI E190-E2 and TAI E195-E2 aircraft. Wi-Fi is available in all aircraft and seats are equipped with power and USB outlets.

SpiceAir Studio was introduced in 2015 where passengers will be able to stream blockbuster hits, short features, and music, to their personal laptops and handheld devices via Wi-Fi. This system will complement the existing overhead systems. Passengers in Business Class on flights more than two hours are offered a tablet. In May 2017, the service was enhanced and upgraded; there are now more than 150 international blockbuster movies and TV sitcom shows available on SpiceAir Studio.

Dining

SpiceAir offers Tennaiite and Sidurian menus. Light snacks are also available on selected flights of less than one and a half hours. SpiceAir launched their All-Time Favourites dishes in July 2016 where they served a selection of Sidurian, Eracuran and local cuisine that Business Class passengers can pre-book before their flight.

Frequent-flyer program

SpiceAir shares the LotusFlyer frequent flyer program with its parent company, Royal Tennai Airlines. However, unlike Royal Tennai Airlines, SpiceAir is not a member of CommonSky Alliance, so frequent flyer miles on SpiceAir flights may only be credited on the LotusFlyer programme, but not on other CommonSky Alliance frequent flyer programs.

Tradewinds Tours and Travel

Tradewinds Tours and Travel Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of SpiceAir, providing package tours to destinations flown by the airline, as well as chartered flights within the Siduri region. The company was incorporated in 1967, and became a fully licensed tour operator in 1974.

SpiceAir, the regional wing of Royal Tennai Airlines, was once known as Tradewinds Charters at its founding in 1968, before earning its present name in 1984. The chartered operations were hence continued to be handled by Tradewinds Tours and Travel.
