The St. Clarke River is a 445.5-mile (717.0 km) long river in flowing from the central part of Albion, northwest to meet the coastline in the state's largest city, which the river gives its name to.

The river rises in South Central Albion from Baldwin Spring near the city of London. It flows roughly north to Jordan Lake, near the city o Philmont, where the river is dammed after its juncture with the Jordan River to form the lake. From here, the river flows northwest through the cities of Philmont, Acceline, and Lebannon, before reaching the St. Clarke Metropolitan Area, where it flows through the heart of the city before reaching its mouth on the Bay of Albion.

Health and Public Safety

Due to the river flowing through many of the states historic cities, polution during Ibica's industrialization period led to the water being unsanitary and causing health issues in the cities that drank from it. In 1875, the Albion legislature created the St. Clarke River Sanitary Board, which has overtime evolved into the St. Clarke River Authority, and empowered them to begin cleaning up the river.

Today, this agency is responible for wastewater treatment in Chambers, St, Clarke, and Stone counties, its original asignment, as well as water-access management, irrigation, wastewater treatment, and hydro-electric power generation from Jordan Lake downstream.

Recreation

The St. Clarke River has become a hub of recreation. Urban and suburban parks line its shores in the St. Clarke area, and Jordan Lake is both a mecca for watersports activities, and home to Jordan State Park.
