The State Representative Council of the Kingdom of Prawasia (Prawasian: Dewan Perwakilan Negara, DPN; alternatively translatable as the Senate of Prawasia) is one of two parliamentary chambers in Prawasia. Together with Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat, (DPR), it makes up the Prawasian national legislative body, the Majelis Nasional. Under the Prawasia's constitution, the authority of the DPN is limited to areas related to regional governments and can only propose and give advise on bills to the DPR. Unlike the DPR, the DPN has no direct law-making power. Its members are usually called senators instead of DPN members.
Membership
Each province of Prawasia elects three members to the DPN on a non-partisan basis. The members represents the interests of their provinces.
Powers
The DPN can propose regional bills to the DPR and must be heard on any regional bill proposed by DPR.
