Swara Mandaran → 2028 |
The Swara Mandaran 2027 was the first edition of the annual Swara Mandaran, a song contest organized by the Mandaran Broadcasting Union (MBU) and host broadcaster Giri Broadcasting Company (GBC). The winner of the contest will be United Mandaran States' entries for the Worldvision Song Contest.
Inspired by Pemecutan's Bintang Radio dan Televisi (BRTV) and various national finals, MBU plan to establish its own song contest who will be the country's national finals for the WorldVision Song Contest. The country has had a long history of participation of the annual world song contest from its predecessor states such as Pemecutan and Cakranegara. Pemecutan become the most successful.
Six constituent states were participated in the inaugural competition. Sylvia Geraldine from Rarungan came out as the winner.
Location
The first edition of Swara Mandaran took place in Ubung, Pemecutan; the state was awarded the competition by MBU knowing that Pemecutan has quite an experience in such contest. Pemecutan was once hosted the 62nd World Hit Festival. The hosting rights was handed over to them after the decline from Normandy and Picardy and Achaean Republic.
The selected venue was Ksirarnawa Theater, a performance hall inside the Werdhi Budaya Arts Center. It had a capacity of 500 seats. The contest is broadcast live by GBC and from its WhoTube channel for international audience.
Participating states
Six constituent states participated in the first contest – Cakranegara, Manguwirajya, Pemecutan, Rarungan, Soracana Islands and Toluiwa. Petang Islands were believed to have interest in participating. But their broadcaster missed the cut-off deadline. The state, together with Gili Anakan however still broadcast the contest and given the rights to vote although their results were added to the international votes count.
