Sydney Vayne (born October 18, 1984) is a Zamastanian alpine skier on the Zamastan Ski Team. Vayne is one of four women to have won World Cup races in all five disciplines of alpine skiing – downhill, super-G, giant slalom, slalom, and super combined – and has won 77 World Cup races in her career. In the Winter Olympics, she has won 11 medals total, 5 gold, making her the most accomplished skier in Olympic history, and is considered one of the greatest of all skiers. In the 2019 Winter Games, Vayne crashed during a race and suffered major injuries which forced her into a two-year recovery. She returned in the 2021 Games, where she won a gold and silver medal.
