Talk:List of Vitosian Colleges and Universities

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Hello! This is Vitosium! So, I'm making a template for whoever to copy and paste (don't cut). It is an easier version of what I made since I spent a lot of time doing trial and error. I get the gist of my chart now but I don't want to explain it. This chart will be based on a single province/state as opposed to the whole nation. It makes it easier for those who aren't used to charts. So, below, you'll find an easier (and maybe even better) version of the chart. Copy below the "Post-Secondary Education Template" title.

Fun fact: in Canada, high schools are referred to as "secondary schools". Like a high school would be called "Rutledge Secondary School" for example. We refer to "college and university" as "college and university" but we also refer to them as "post-secondary" in terms of discussing education. I guess you can think of them as a tertiary education. Yes, we refer to schools as "primary school" as opposed to "elementary school" as well. Note: this may differ depending on where you are in Canada. Idk.

Province City University Notes
Province Name City Name University Name Potential Notes (consider a whole page for the university if you have a lot to write about it)

How Does the Template Work?

So, here is the base template as it stands. Please go into Edit Mode to understand this more.

Province City University Notes
Province Name City Name University Name Potential Notes

If you are in Edit Mode, you'll notice rowspan="1" beside Province Name, etc. These numbers will change depending on the number of cities in the provinces as well as the number of universities in the city. Look at the chart below.

West Balloon Face University Potential Notes

So, I've added some placeholder names. You'll also notice a change in the chart. As Balloon Face now has two universities, the number changed to reflect that. I also separated the second university so it is down one slot in the row (hence "rowspan").

Your province or state would have more than one city so now, you'll see that I have added another city. Make sure to have the new city BELOW your university names. As there are now THREE universities, the number of rowspan next to your province/state's name increases.
