The First Confederation of Adrinian was a failed first attempt to unify the region and take control of the Aestes Sea trade. Despite cultural similarities between the participating provinces, the motives for unification were largely monetary gain and self defense, which was reflected in the Confederation's foreign policy. The Confederation would ultimately collapse in 1750 after years of infighting and division.
