The Forever Empire (Kitsune: フォーエバーエンパイア Fōebāenpaia) is a federal parliamentary Absolute monarchy located in the Daiichi-Daini quadrants in the Tanabiku Galaxy.
The Forever Empire was a rather large interstellar state inhabiting an area called the Ashen Nebula, now referred to as the Ashen Void. They were very technologically advanced, having produced several megastructures and gigastructures. However, such were destroyed in an ensuing conflict called the Two Day War, which saw the complete collapse of the Forever Empire and lead to the Exodus of around 2 trillion survivors.
The Forever Empire now exists as a shadow of its former self, a large fleet of warships and civilian vessels that scours the void for resources. However as such resources thin, they have been looking at alternatives; including that of violating other sovereign territory. Many of these nations however, are uncertain of the existence of the Kitsune people; who have become a legend after so much time of silence.
History
Politics
Government
The government of the Forever Empire is rather simplistic and somewhat decentralized. Whilst an old system had existed, it was seen as impossible to sustain after the Two Day War. A new system, centered around a Monarch, was formed. Each ship had a Ducal leader, usually the Captain, who made localized decisions based off orders from the Supreme Kami, who lead the Mothership. The Supreme Kami is a hereditary position, the heir usually being the offspring of the previous Kami.
Law and Justice
Law in the Forever Empire is rather simplistic and brutal, most minor infractions go without severe punishment, usually a warning or a fine. However, major infractions can quickly escalate into a death sentence. Murder, Rape, and other heavy offenses, are often discouraged not by imprisonment, but by threat of being thrown out of an airlock. As resources thin, the death sentence grows in scale, as most are unwilling to support the idea of wasting resources on the incarcerated.
Military
The Military of the Forever Empire is separated into two separate forces. The Imperial Navy and the Imperial Army. The two work in tandem, with the Imperial Army providing security aboard the warships and the Mothership, and the Imperial Navy providing external protection in the form of Military Escort of the Mothership. The Military is one of the largest workforces in the Forever Empire, and is the second most highly respected group of individuals, following that of the Imperial Family.
