The United Kingdom of Shrek is a very large country, known for it's great population of mystical creatures. It is home to ogres, donkeys, and mystical creatures. The UKS is filled with many swamps and forests. This country has a republic form of government. The united Kingdom of Shrek is known for it's organic supply of green goo and magical potions.
The medium-sized, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Healthcare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 23.5%, but much higher for the wealthy. The sizeable but inefficient UKS economy, worth 4.14 trillion dollars a year, is led by the Cheese Exports industry, with major contributions from Door-to-door Insurance Sales, Tourism, and Automobile Manufacturing. History
The United Kingdom of Shrek was founded in 1593. A group of immagrants were fleeing the kingdom of Duloc due to the death of their ruler. The settlers were known to be mystical creatures. They were led by an ogre named shrek, who claimed the land, calling it his own. Since there was no one there, they had to make it their own. So they started from scratch and made this country to what is known today as The United Kingdom of Shrek. After the country was established in 1607, more immagrants from Duloc arrived. This includes, donkeys and mystical creatures. Till this day it is called the country filled with the most mystical creatures know to Earth.
Military
The United Kingdom of Shrek has a very large military filled with high tech weapons. There haven't been any current wars, but many threats that have almost resulted in war with their worst enemy unicornland. Of course there has been much help from allies and trade partners, including Jasmineland and Kendaii. In which they have helped whenever there was a problem or threat.
Religion
Shrekians are very devoted creatures. 99% of the population is catholic. They celebrate the saints and church festivities. Families attend mass on sundays. They also celebrate the immaculate conception on December 7. Homes display beautiful altars. Young and old go from home to home singing songs and getting candy in return.
Cuisine
The cuisine that is served in the UKS is very unique. Some foods are are basic and other are suler rare. The different species eat different foods. Ogres like to eat uniue things like, rats, martinis, eyeballs, worms, and many other disgusting foods. Donkeys have a taste for, carrots, apples, pears, turnips, swedes, grass, and hay. So they are really healthy animals. Lastly, the creatures like to eat regular food and the same food that the ogres like to eat. This is a pretty rare mixture of food, but that is how this country was brought up and will stay that way.
Cultural Events
Cultural events are great things to have. The UKS is full of them. Infact, the creatures get so excited just to celebrate them. They decorate their houses and dress up. These are the top 5 cultural events celebrated here in the UKS. Number 1 on the list is around the world day . This is a day when the different creatures express where they came from and celebrate their different cultures. Second is the Creature Carnival. This is a carnival that consists of different activities and contests that are based off of what each creature likes to do. For example, fairies would shoot up magic into the air to see who's can go the highest. Third is the Day of the Ogres. This day is when the ogres celebrate their cultures. This day was especially made for them because the founders were ogres and ogres are so different from everyone else that they needed a day for themselves. As number 4 on the list we have The festival/Parade of food and art. This is when the creatures make art from the food that they eat. There is also a parade held in honor of the different cultured food, this includes dancers dressed up as the food and big parade floats. And number 5 we have The festival of lights. This event takes place at night and is when fairies use their magic wands to light up the sky with fireworks and all kinds of magnificant things all throughout the country. There are many more cultural events that are celebrated here.
