The chancellor and the slave is a romance novel written by Blue Horizons in 2012.
Plot
The chancellor and the slave follows the meeting and deepening (fictional) relationship between the Spirean high councillor Maven Auryn and the Imerian slave/diplomatic attaché Snöhof Vildvindsdottir. The book starts when they meet as part of the opening of the Coalition of Ponyist States headquarters on hiddenberry island where the both immediately takes a liking for one another even if Snöhof confesses that she is afraid of what people will think and that she is still a bit worried what will happen if they truly got together.
Maven comforts her by saying that it will be fine and that he will support her decision whatever she chooses to do and she throws herself with tear-filled eyes in his arms and he takes her to bed for the first time. Over a couple of weeks with nightly encounters so does Maven convince Snöhof to flee with him back to Crystal spires, something which Snöhof accepts.
When they attempt to flee, however, they are discovered by Snöhof's former owner, Björn auf Asterstjarna, and they have to fight past his guards and try to get away from his warship the FaRS Arghbar which he also its captain over due to his commission in the Federal and royal navy.
The pair is however able to escape and arrives in Crystal spires where they celebrate this with another sexual encounter. When Maven takes his new mare out to see Caltris. In Caltris Snöhof finds a BDSM shop and wants to try it out. However, during the sexual encounters during the next few nights makes Maven uncertain if he wants to continue the relationship since his partner seems to have taken a liking to the practice and is more and more violent in bed.
He confesses this to Snöhof that runs away and Maven spends a week trying to figure out if he wants to continue his life as before or if he really wants the mare back, in the end he decides that he loves her too much and that he could grow to like her new sexual tastes. He finds her and takes her back to his palace for one last sex scene where the admits to himself that he actually likes being the submissive partner.
