Geography
North of Sāntàusí City, which is on the coast, is Tiô-chiu, which is in the easternmost region of the Guangdong Province. It is located to the north of the Han River's delta, which runs through the whole city.
There are mountains in the Tiô-chiu region. Specifically, the summit of the neighboring Phoenix Mountain is 1,497 meters (4,911 feet) above sea level. The Huanggang River and the Han River are the two principal rivers in the area. The Huanggang River approximately travels from north to south through the region of Raoping before emptying into the sea. The Han River flows from west to southeast and passes through downtown Tiô-chiu. Tiô-chiu has a plenty of water from these two rivers. The majority of the city's land area—65%—is made up of hills, particularly in Raoping and Northern Chaoan.
