Τῇ ὑπερμάχῳ στρατηγῷ τὰ νικητήρια,
ὡς λυτρωθεῖσα τῶν δεινῶν εὐχαριστήρια,
ἀναγράφω σοι ἡ Πόλις σου Θεοτόκε.
Ἀλλ' ὡς ἔχουσα τὸ κράτος ἀπροσμάχητον,
ἐκ παντοίων με κινδύνων ἐλευθέρωσον,
ἵνα κράζω σοι

Ti ipermákho stratigó ta nikitíria,
os litrothísa ton dinón efkharistíria,
anagráfosi i Pólis sou, Theotóke.
All' os ékhousa to krátos aprosmákhiton,
ek pandíon me kindínon elefthéroson,
ina krázo si - Khére, Nímfi anímfefte.
Translation
To the defender army leader(all) the jubilees
entitled to You by Your city, God-bearer
as gratitude expressives for being saved from woes
Inasmuch as You keep the state invincible,
deliver me from all kinds of perils,
so that I can exclaim to You: Rejoice, Bride unwed.
