History

In 1898, the British Government of the Colony of Zafizamarrah lead by Governor General Alois Fergusson enacted a series of laws known as "The Decree of Ethical Cooperation" in order to raise living standards in the colony (which can be compared to the Dutch East Indies' "Dutch Ethical Politics"). One of the laws enacted at the time was to give the non-European people access to higher education. This would result in the opening of the Zafizamarrah Colonial St. John School of Medicine located in Zafizamarrah's Old Town Area (now known as "The Old Campus Area"). As the name suggests, the school first start as a Tertiary School to prepare students into the Medical field, working as doctors and nurses.

Eventually, the Faculty of Law was created as a response to an inquiry made by a nine-people committee lead by Hadji Nursalam Hadid calling themselves "Advocates for a Lawful Alezia" in order to create future lawyers that would defend the needs of a day-to-day Alezian. Even though a non-Medical Faculty was made, the name of the school was never changed. Initially it was going to be changed into the "Zafizamarrah Colonial St. John School of Higher Education" but unknown reasons blocked the name change from happening.
