Assaminasqua was an Abenaki statesman, tribal leader and a Hommes d'État d'Augusta who served as the third president of East Chenes. He was one of the members of the Abenaki representatives for the Abenaki delegation at the Augusta Convention that would unify the country. Initially a conservative that sided with the Tsalagi conservatives, he would switch to a more liberal approach to the Augusta Convention. Under Assaminasqua, he secured the racial rights of the native Abenaki that belonged to the Sagadonac for government. He served as a member of the Merchants Party and would serve as the first Statesmen of Government under Renée Sieyès. Assaminasqua later retired from Chênique politics and returned to North Sagadonac. He later exited retirement after the beginning of the War of Arossagunticook-Étienne as a member of the Chênique delegation to the Tsalagi at the end of the war.
