The Munde conflict is an ongoing standoff between Kaoro & the Kaoroan state of Munde. The Ministry of Internal Affairs published a document on February 14, 2022 accusing Munde of corruption and performing sabotage against the Federal government. Protesters appeared in Kaoro City demanding that the Mundean government be punished for its actions. On February 17, 2022, Federal President Dutch Furman said that the Mundean government behavior was putrid and unhonourable. He also commented that Munde's actions derailed the unity of Kaoro's Federal system. The next day, Munde said that the Kaoroan government is mangling with Munde's own affairs, and demanded that the government back off from the situation immediately or face retaliation.

Background

Munde & authoritarian rule

Munde is a one-party state under the Popular Front For Mundean Salvation. The government actively attempts to stomp out opposition. The Dakota Movement 2015 protests were violently surpressed by the Mundean Army and police, leading to several dozen deaths.
