Vaadwek
The Vaadwek are a humanoid race originally from the planet Vaald, but are more commonly associated with the planet of New Vaald (Vaadwek language: Vaadwek). They are the biological cousins of the Dra'almarr, descended from those who left the planet of Vaald during the Great Evacuation. They are the most numerous species within the Imperial Vaald Duumverate, and hold significant cultural and political power in that state. They are phenotypically noted for their vented ears, which are found on both Vaadwek and Dra'almarr, these ears are more sensitive than other species' ears, such as humans, giving the Vaald races superior hearing. The Dra'almarr and Vaadwek have two distinctive phenotypical differences, firstly is skin colour, in which the Vaadwek sport resplendent golden skin as opposed to the blue-green skin of the Dra'almarr, however just as noticeable is the difference in average height, the Dra'almarr are, on average, 6 inches shorter than their Vaadwek counterparts, averaging at 5'11"-6'0" tall, rather than 6'5" for the Dra'almarr.
