Aircraft carriers
The Dominion Navy has six Ferocious-class aircraft carriers. Each carrier cost 2.3 billion credits and displaces 49,000 tonnes. The first, VNS Ferocious, was launched in 2013 and commissioned the following year as part of the replacement for the aging Burke-class, with the latest of the series, VNS Implacable, launched and commissioned in 2023.
Amphibious warfare
At present, there are three types of amphibious warfare ships in current service. This includes three Drake-class marine assault ships, six Kazatlan-class amphibious assault ships and three Cay Kut-class multi-purpose amphibious assault ships. The Cay Kut-class is closely associated with the VAF's Light Foreign Expeditionary Force thanks to the greater built-in protection of the design and its high speed.
