Vincent Konh Okalo is the founder and current head of the Holy Resistance Movement rebel group. Originally, Okalo was a local priest in eastern Lyoa. After several of his family members were killed by the Allied Republican Forces, Okalo mobilized his followers to establish a "self-defense movement for all Christians against the menace of Islam". Okalo has proclaimed himself as a direct spokesman of God, claiming that God himself had directed him to lead the HRM. His militia has become widely known for its brutality and its use of child soldiers. Okalo remains a fugitive, although he is not actively being pursued by the Lyoan government or any international force.
