Vlud City Council (Vyvlander: Sdadrood Vluds, pronounced /zdaʑoːd vlʊdz/) is the local authority for the municipality and independent city of Vlud, the largest city in Vyvland. It is currently controlled by a KDC-KLP-Vlud City Interest administration headed by chairperson Sysanne Jung of KDC, while the city's Mayor is Moijel Angkeuk of the same party. The council is responsible for refuse and waste, utilities, infrastructure, culture, transport and local services within the municipal boundaries of Vlud.
The council is elected by Party-list proportional representation within each of the eleven boroughs of Vlud. The number of seats allocated to each borough varies by population, from 18 in Avdal, Hegfrop and Kongsborg, the most populous, to 10 in Piterkusel and Innerwand, the boroughs with the lowest population. Elections normally occur every four years, with the last in 2015 seeing the centre-right gaining a majority.
The City Council is subordinate to the Provincial Diet of Vlud province, although it supplants some of the Provincial Diet's powers owing to Vlud's status as an independent city. Below the council's level are individual councils for each of the eleven boroughs which make up the city, although these have little practical authority beyond local event organisation, local culture and recreation. Vlud City Council covers the most populous municipality in Vyvland, although its total expenditure is smaller than that of Lyksdal's City Council.
