The West Phoenicia Aristocracy Party is a party in West Phoenicia that advocates for social conservatism and rights of the Aristocrat classes and their supporters.

The party supports a class society, with the Monarch holding absolute power.

It is in a Coalition alliance with with; Antebellum Conservative Party, Christian People's Party and the West Phoenicia Segregation Party

The Coalition has been in government since 2011.


History

The West Phoenicia Aristocracy Party is a party in West Phoenicia that advocates for social conservatism and rights of the Aristocrat classes and their supporters.

The party supports a class society, with the Monarch holding absolute power.

The party was founded by Princess Cleopatra-Maria Bush, older sister to reigning King Tiberius Bush II.

The party was founded during a time which the Princess felt that the government was slowly chipping away at the powers of the royal family.

West Phoenicia generally has had a absolute primogeniture system. However their father King Gaius-Edward Bush IV Soter, was murdered by his wife Queen Consort Egypt-Nova Bush who favoured her eldest son Tiberius, who was third born after two sisters. She arranged for him to ascend to the throne.

Princess Cleopatra-Maria Bush hoped to reform the system, while not angering her mother. She was a staunch Monarchist who believed in a West Phoenician class system.

From 1900 to 1945 the party leader was either a sibling or an offspring of the reigning Monarch.  Leadership was slammed by opposition groups, however the party justifed the choices by stating  else would be better to lead an Aristocracy Party than a high ranking member of the nobility.

In 1939 King Tiberius Bush II was poisoned and died. The culprit was his daughter and party leader Princess Laodice Bush II who had conspired wirh her husband to claim the throne.

King Jarius Bush III was ruling West Phoenicia when he died during a World War II bombing blitz. Instead of the throne going to his son, his wife Queen Consort Anne Maidstone-Bush took control of the throne.

She dismissed her brother in law as the party leader and assigned one of her lover, Captain Harmon Flinders to the role which he stayed in, until Queen Anne was deposed and executes. Captain Flinders was also executed for crimes he committed to keep Queen Anne on the throne.

In 1951 King Demetrios I Bush Philopator took to the throne. He also modernised the Aristocracy Party by no longer choosing a family member to lead the party, but an official elected leader. This stayed the way until 2000 when Queen Jezebel Bush took control of the throne.

During the 70s the party tried to create Hereditary peer Senate Seats. 1 for each city-state that was choosen from the highest member of the Aristocracy in each state. The bill did not gain the support it needed to become law.

Party leader, Helena Parks; Countess of Saint George Province:1981-1986, during her time as party leased became known as a progressive monarchist. While an ardent royalist she introduced policies for the party that made them more modern. For the party and the monarchy to survive a Republican attack they needed to remain relevant and move with the times. The party advocates that the government be giving more responsibilities and that the monarchy while still having powers would not be seen as an absolute monarchy. Arrangements were made that handed over certain powers, while still allowing the royal family to have significant voice in government.

The Aristocracy Party supported Queen Jezebel early in her reign. The queen had appointed her eldest son Prince Brutus Tasman-Bush who was 20 at the time to lead. While membership did drop during the later part of her reign, most members of parliament kept private their true feelings of her reign. Only once when the 5th West Phoenician civil war erupted, where true loyalties shown.

Most of those who continued their support during the civil war were pardoned by Glenton Gryphon-Bush II when he became Emperor.

After the civil war the party struggled for a few years until Baroness Honey Baroda took control of the party. The good works of party members was promoted and party membership began to climb again as the country became stable and  placed their trust back in the party.

The party pushed through a number of new public holidays and festivals which found approval from the citizens of West Phoenicia.

They campaigned on building a strong economy, family values and festivals. They also came out in strong support of cottage industries and one off loans of $100,000, so people could start small business.

They ran a campaign where 100 families were selected to be given titles of nobility.

As of 2020 the party holds two governor seats. One in the city-state of Medieval County and the other in New Tudor. The monarchy has huge support in over 3/4 of city-states.

Both city-states that won the governorship have over 90% support from the monarchy, according to a 2019 news poll by WP News 3.

The party has also had a successful run at elections, increasing their seats at every election.

At the 2019 they obtained 192 seats in the House of Representatives and 14 in the Senate. Making them a major party within the Coalition.
