Xenocimedes Radicti is the reigning Grand Duke of the Grand Duchy of Radictistan and the founder of that state.
Early life
Almost nothing is known about Xenocimedes Radicti's early life. He was the key leader of the Eastval Party and it was his yacht by which the party was shipwrecked on the coast of Eastval. Between that moment and his coronation as the first Grand Duke of Radictistan, there is only rumor and conjecture.
Governmental role
The Radictistani constitution accords the Crown significant political power and influence. These are mostly concentrated in the areas of foreign affairs, internal security, and defense policy. The Crown has no direct control over other areas of policy. Instead, the Grand Duke can act through his considerable powers of patronage, appointing County governors, judges, and other persons of authority. Furthermore, virtually all decisions of the Crown, such as political appointments and legislative vetoes, can be overruled by Parliament or County legislatures.
Grand Duke Xenocimedes prefers a hands-off, quiet approach to governing. He realizes that high profile attempts to exert power over more democratic parts of the government would likely trigger a public backlash which could foreseeably endanger the monarchy. He has a preference for persuasion and making deals rather than dictation and avoids at all costs the perception of arrogance in his power. Xenocimedes has generally had cordial relations with Prime Minister Zahir Radicleb, with whom he must cooperate in order to enact the complete roster of his policy agenda. Despite his modest tendencies in governing, the Grand Duke has engaged in a certain amount of nepotism, appointing both of his sons to cabinet posts.
Political views
Although the Grand Duke is required by convention to refrain from commenting on political matters outside of the Crown portfolio, it is known that he generally favors the policies of the Fascist Democratic Party, in particular its "One-Nationist" faction.
Media and publicity
Xenocimedes Radicti has a history of making off-the-cuff remarks in public which embarrass the government. The Radictistani media does not give him more deference than they do any other public figure so these remarks invariably end up in both print and on the airwaves. Few Radictistanis love him, but most acknowledge that the monarchy is just about the only thing holding the country together. Therefore the Grand Duke enjoys the support of most of the population. Only the fringe Labor Party and radical Communist Party support abolishing the monarchy. The failures of the Radictistani internal security forces to effectively combat the KPR has led to a minor increase in republican sentiment.

Xenocimedes and Grand Duchess Sofia have two sons and one daughter:

Residences
Nuxenstat City Palace is the Grand Duke's principal residence. It is owned by the Crown Estate and is not the Grand Duke's personal property. Erstwald, the Grand Duke's hunting lodge in the County of Westwoodsur, and the Keilersee estate in Eastval are privately owned.
Wealth
Xenocimedes Radicti's private wealth is estimated to be between R$14.4 billion and R$17.5 billion. Most of this wealth is in the form of Radictistan Automotive Works stock and real estate including his privately owned residences.
