Xiani is a city in northern Yuan along the coast of the Strait of Xiani and the Cantalle Ocean. It is the country's fourth-most populous city with 9,210,000 inhabitants. It is a major port, accounting for nearly 20% of the total trade input for Yuan. Xiani grew to prominence as the northern terminus of the Grand Canal and has been one of Yuan's most renowned and prosperous cities for much of the last millennium. In 2020 the city was struck by the Northern Yuan earthquake, resulting in thousands of deaths and major damage.
