Xudatoy is a mountain in the Istıq province of Maqtajer. Its name means Mountain of the Gods in Zalqintili, a name it has held since before the coming of Islam to the country. With an elevation of 1,634 metres (5,361 ft) above sea level, it is the tallest mountain in Maqtajer and one of the most prominent peaks in southwest Sythith, standing 1,273 metres (4,177 ft) above its lowest col. The mountain is 213 kilometres (132 mi) north-by-northeast of Shamalayilı, the seat of provincial government. Xudatoy is a rough, rocky and scrubby mountain with two summits; the lower, more westerly summit (1,602 metres (5,256 ft) above mean sea level) is forested with conifers, while the higher is bare and topped by large boulders. Both tops offer sweeping views across the province and, on a day with little haze, as far as Kuwazavkavan. The Istıq Road, one of Maqtajer's main tarmacked roadways, traverses the pass between the two summits on its way toward the Kuwazavkavanian border.
