The Yukino Castle (KS: 雪乃城, Yukino-shiro) is the seat of government of the Duchy of Yukino, and official royal residence of the Royal House and Monarchy of Yukino. It is located at the heart of the Yukino River Conurbation, in Shih-na. It is a semi-public space area, as it is registered as a park as well in the city's building databases.
Construction of the castle started in 1716, a year after the Yukino royal family moved from Chōsuke to Naganawa. The old castle was completed in 1719 and still stands today – known as the Ancestral Bastion. The present complex was constructed at the start of the 20th century, under Duchess Tsubasa Chizuru. The largest building, which is now colloquially used to mention the castle itself – the Palace of Tsubasa, is the project's main center-point.
