Þurisas Mâþijassun is an Azmaran Workers' Party politician who has served as Secretary of State for Internal Affairs and as a Member of the Folksmot for Aalmsted since 2020, having also held the latter role between 2002 and 2014. Þurisas previously served as Mayor of Aalmsted between 2014 and 2018 and as Secretary of State for Education and Research between 2008 and 2011.
Considered one of the political and ideological leaders of the right of his party, Mâþijassun's tenure has seen the Ministry of Internal Affairs adopt an approach described as both "tough on crime" and "tough on the causes of crime" alongside emphasising the importance of "Azmaran values" in the process of integration.
