Kecha, officially the Kingdom of Kecha, is a nation in central America. It is bordered by Pera to the north, Sury to the west, Asal to the south, and Loklan to the east. It has a coast with Lake Superior to the northeast.
Kecha ranks moderately high for civil liberties and high for political freedom. Kecha has protections for most civil liberties, with restrictions on expressive liberties and religious inequalities. Kechan society is fairly split along ideological lines and has produced tensions and minor internal unrest. There are several political parties, none of which have held an outright or consistent majority in many years.
Kecha’s economy is very reliant on tourism since there are few natural resources and very little open land. Kecha’s recent internal unrest has made the tourism industry vulnerable, and so the government has opened the possibility of either creating a new economic union with Pera, Loklan, and Sury or to join the American Union.
Etymology
Kecha was named after the Quechua people. After the End of the World, the Quechua people were some of the best survivalists and propped up the surrounding population. The Quechua and others migrated north a short time later, then founded Kecha.
