Military Districts of Temuair

The following is a list of Military Districts of Temuair denoting standing formations of the Armed Forces of the Temuair Empire including the Imperial Army of Temuair, Imperial Navy of Temuair and the Imperial Air Force of Temuair, including their garrison or headquarters location. Military district are formations of the nation's armed forces which are responsible for a certain area of territory. Units of the Imperial Army are organized at the brigade level, with the corresponding formation for the Imperial Air Force being wings, and task forces for the Navy.

In regarding to the Imperial Army, a units assigned military district is generally only relevant for administrative purpose. There are several standing divisions within the Imperial Army, with more divisions being formed on an ad hoc basis in the event of a mass mobilization.

Temuair is divided into five military districts north, south, east, west and central, and are named for their headquarters area. With the Orzola Military District covering the northern parts of the nation, the Rucesion Military District governing the south, the Mileth Military District in the west, the Pravat Military District covering the center and finally the Astrid Military District in the east, on the border with Notreceau

Until 1997, a sixth district, the Capital Defense Command, existed, but was abolished during the 1997 Defense Reforms. For the Imperial Air Force, this districts are sometimes referred to as air defense zones.

There are also several territorial military districts which are responsible for administrator the units that defend the Empire's oversea possessions.

Descanso District

The Descanso District is centered around the Imperial possession of Illa de Descanso located in the <ocean>. It is a small island historically used a s a stop over points for vessels traversing the ocean, and for aircraft which may need to refuel when traveling between Ashizwe and Kasaishima. In modern times it is a major holding of the Armed Forces of the Temuair Empire incuding a major airbase and seaport.
