Rosomak (Mazurian:Rosomak - Wolverine) is a family of wheeled MRAP vehicles developed by the Nikolian company FMK with cooperation of a dozen more companies. The main aim of the program is to design a fundamentally new unified platform for all Nikolian armored wheeled vehicles.
Design
All Rosomak variants are fitted with the same family of engines manufactured by FMK (FMK-5513), suspension, mine protection and information system. Mine protection is provided with a V-shape chassis, explosion absorbent materials in the seats and protective glass and it can withstand a blast equivalent to 8kg of TNT. The composite armour (ceramic and steel) provide protection of the crew against 14.5mm armor piercing rounds. All vehicles have ability to mount remotely operated machine gun, and have hatches for crew to use for defense, or for evacuation in the event of rollover. The vehicles have advanced situational awareness system that encompasses cameras and sensors on all sides of the vehicle. The central computer can be connected to the battlefield network, and through several interfaces within the vehicles, soldiers can see the information about the battlefield itself, see cameras, control machine gun, and control vehicle systems. Crew compartment on all vehicles is sealed for Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense and is supported by maintaining the crew and troop compartment at an artificial overpressure through a HLF-100 air filtration system. All vehicles are available in two, three or four axle versions.
