The FMK-1420 Rosomak PIV (PIV - Pogranično Izviđačko Vozilo - Border Surveillance Vehicle) is Nikolian wheeled mine-resistant, armor protected vehicle. It is member of the Rosomak family of MRAP vehicles. It is primarily made and used by Nikolian Border Protection units.
Design
The vehicle is protected by composite armor that provides protection against 12.7mm rounds at the distance of 300m. The vehicle is also sealed for Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense with advanced HLF-100 air filtration system that provides artificial overpressure to crew and troop compartment in the event of CBRN attack. Situational awareness is provided with system of video cameras and sensors that allow the crew to observe the environment without exposing themselves to the enemy. The integral computer network also allows the troops in the troop compartment to control the vehicle should the crew become incapacitated. The connection to the battlefield network is also available.
