Lait City, until 1920: Laithitaus; is the capital of Besmenia and with a population of 3,3 millions the largest city in the country. The city is one of the 12 federal states in Besmenia. It borders the state of Metakumburg in the north. With an area of 920 km2, the city is one of the largest cities in Belisaria. The Leina river runs through the city.

Lait City is a world city of culture, media and politics. Many facilities such as the Bolumartin Hotel, the various universities, sports stadiums and museums have an international reputation. The city is also known for its high financial center and high quality of life.
