Alexandra (Alexandra Elise; 5 May 1781 – 28 October 1850), also known as Alexandra the Great (Alexandra de Grote), of the House of Wolf was Queen of Lieseltania from 2 January 1794 and the first High Queen of Atmora from 4 May 1812 to her death in 25 October 1850, the first Head of State of a united Atmora. Under the leadership of Alexandra and her Prime Minister Thomas Seymour, 3rd Count of Rosebery, Lieseltania achieved the unification of Atmora and the establishment of the Atmoran Confederation. The Atmorans have her the epithet of Mother of Confederation (Iravian: Moeder van Confederatie).
The eldest daughter of King Edward III of Lieseltania and Princess Charlotte of Anhalt-Rosslau, Alexandra was related to the Queen of Brunswick, Grand Duke of Rothenburg, and the Grand Duchess and Guldenhof. Before her accession to the throne, she served as heiress apparent and held the title of Duchess of Wolf, until the unexpected death of her father Edward III and succeeded him as the Queen of Lieseltania the age of 13. For the first 5 years of Alexandra's reign her mother Queen Charlotte served as regent.
Her reign of 56 years and nine months was List of monarchs of Lieseltania by length of reigns|longer than of any of her predecessors]], and is known as the Alexandrian Era. It was a period of industrial, cultural, political, scientific, and military change within the Atmoran islands, and was marked by a great unification of the Atmoran States. Under her reign Lieseltania had greatly increased its territories and became a regional hegemon in the Atmoran Islands under her rule.
Nearly all 19th-century Atmoran historians made Alexandra into a romantic model of a glorified warrior, praising her leadership, administrative efficiency, devotion to duty and success in uniting the Atmoran states into a single great power. Historian Leopold van Pappenheim was unstinting in his praise of Alexandra's "Heroic life, inspired by great ideas, filled with feats of arms ... immortalized by the unification of the Atmoran states." Alexandra remains as an admired historical figure in the Atmoran Empire as a great general, enlightened monarch, and as the unifying force for the states.
