The Elect Army is the main military arm of the Kingdom of Kembesa, comprising the bulk of its professional forces in its land, maritime, and air components. Universal male conscription has been in effect since 1982 with few compromises even for Kembesans with disabilities. Conscript terms of service last between 12 and 18 months depending on the jurisdiction or any penalty that may have been applied to a youth entering into the service. Penal service is also not unheard of. Women are completely barred from service in the Kembesan military and paramilitary forces.
