The Anterian A Series, often referred to simply as the A Series, is the highest competition of open-wheeled auto racing in Anteria. The A Series is comprised of multiple races scattered across Anteria, known as Grands Prixs, that are held in purposefully-built autodromes and closed street circuits alike. These Grands Prix span an entire weekend since they encompass training sessions, qualifying sessions, and the race itself, held in Sundays. Exceptionally, some pre-selected venues also host a sprint race to determine their starting grids every year. Grands Prix generally bear the name of the country in which they are held, although exceptions do exist. Notably, countries that host more than one Grand Prix in the same year have to change the name of at least one so as to avoid iterations.
An outlet for the latest innovations in automobile engineering and a spectacle for millions alike, the A Series has given birth to multiple inventions that have made their way to conventional cars and has attracted the attention of a plethora of investors in recent decades. The presence of the Ferrara Compact since 1996 also means that all participating constructors commit to share the intellectual property they utilize for their cars for the duration of each tournament, guaranteeing that all competing teams are closely matched and that the single-seaters remain the most possibly advanced ones at all times.
