The Democratic Principality of Taoyuan was a partially recognised government during the Neocon War. It was the Neoconservative-aligned government of Taoyuan which was established following the Neocon Invasion of Taoyuan.

The invasion of Taoyuan came as a favour from Qian Yuhan, a descendant of the Selucid Dynasty and a proclaimed claimant of the supposed Royal Family of Taoyuan. The capture of Taoyuan was meant to also provide a strong base point for a protracted Neocon Invasions of Nihhon-koku, Rubrum, and Archadia in 2034.

Taoyuan's government change drastically from a Federal Parliament to an Absolute Monarchy under Qian Yuhan, who was crowned as the Princess of Taoyuan. Initially being painted as largely authoritarian, Qian managed to prioritise Taoyuan's economy by opening its trade to Neocon countries, who flew large amounts of investments in order to obtain public trust as part of Plan Orange. As a result, her support base largely grew while the trust for the previous ruling Taoyuanese government started to lessen. However, despite these positives, she tightened her control on the government, purging the former parliament of its members and other parties, forcing them to dissolve. She created the Court of the People as the new ruling legislation with herself as head of the government. She installed people who were under her wing, as well as put relatives in key positions of power, greatly reducing political freedoms.

Her government has also been criticised for the similar hardline Neocon control of the country with the instigation of the suppression of press freedoms, strong state censorship, domestic violence, corruption, and harsh crackdown on Taoyuanese Federalists. Many have accused the Neocon 5 of dictating the government. In 2035, support for the government began to dwindle following the failure of the Neocons Invasion of the Erebonian Empire of the same year. Several partisan groups rose arms against the government of the same year and called for the return of the Federal Taoyuanese Government and of President Lee Liying.

In 2036, following the defeat of the Neocons at the Battle of Guinea Sea, the Heimdallr forces launched an invasion of Taoyuan and liberated the island after 6 months of harsh fighting in 15 December 2036. Qian was immediately relocated back to Quenmin where the Neocons established the Taoyuan Government-in-exile and recognising it as the legal government of Taoyuan in hopes of restoring its control over the island. However, none of this would come to be as the Neocons finally lost the war in 2040, which deemed the Neocon-aligned government of Taoyuan as dissolved.
