The Imperial East is one of the five Imperial Vidékek within the Empire and a geographic region. It comprises of five Imperial Megyek that historically existed within the Grand Principality of Esztergom: Esztergom, Gesta, Salavár, Szatmár, and Jászapáti. It comprises of two major geographic regions, the Esztergom plains and the eastern Jászapáti section of the Tolna Mountain Range. The largest city within the Imperial East is Esztergom. The Imperial East is the native home of a variety of tribes, including the Erdős, Szatmár, Jászapáti, and the Vandorolt Redicsi.

The Imperial East has historically been categorized as an important part of the Empire and was the home of one of the largest cities during the First Wolf Palatinate. The Circle of Esztergom was originally the city that was established under the First Wolf Palatinate. Within Gesta and Salavar, the First Wolf Palatinate saw these areas as prime farmland. Two other important First Palatinate settlements emerged: the Circle of Gesta and the Circle of Salavar. Over the years of the First Wolf Palatinate, Esztergom served as the capital briefly under the Eight Kings Era. During the fall of the First Palatinate, the area had been beset by three different individual civil wars that ended in the destruction of the Circle of Salavar and the abandonment of the Circle of Gesta.

During the Second Wolf Palatinate, the Circle of Esztergom became the capital of the Wolf Palatine Arpad III. The Imperial East was still recovering from the fall of the First Palatinate, which resulted in the repopulation of the Circle of Gesta.
