Arabin governors are leaders of the executive branches of each state in Arabi. Each governor has a vice governor much like how the president has a vice president. Much like vice presidents, a vice governors role is primarily ceremonial. If a governor resigns, dies, or is impeached and removed from office the vice governor will assume the role of governor for the remaining of the term. Drakeland is the only state that by request of the state legislature may hold a special election to fill the remainder of the governors term if they resign, die, or removed from office.[1]

Governors have similar powers to the presidency but only on a statewide level and within the borders of the states they are elected in. They may sign or veto bills passed by their state legislatures. Each state has their own constitutions that set out guidelines on how each individual governorships work. None of the states have limits on how many terms a governor may serve. Each governor serves a 4 year term with no restrictions and are directly elected by the citizens of their respective state along with the vice governor who is nominated by each candidate.

The longest serving governor is incumbent Courtney Kelly (D) of Walpole who is serving her sixth term. The shortest governor was Dennis Smith (F) of New London who served 13 days before being assassinated while giving a speech on the stairs of the State Capitol Building.

(Birth date and age)
  1. If a governor resigns, dies, or is removed from office in Drakeland, the vice governor will become acting governor. The state legislature must within 10 days decide if a special election will be held to fill the remainder of the term but only if there is more than one year left on the remaining term. If the state legislature fails to decide whether or not to hold a special election within the 10 day period set out by the constitution, then the acting governor will assume the full duties and responsibilities of the governorship and serve the remainder of the term.
  2. Owens is the only state where the governor assumes office the same year they are elected
