The Federal Party was a major political party that existed in Arabi from 1837 until 1906. The party existed during the First Party System (1839-1899) with its main rival the Democratic-Republican Party. The last president from the Federal Party was James Douglas, who was president from 1883 until 1887. The party was formally dissolved in 1906 with the Conservative Capitalist Party being its successor.
