RAL — Radiotelevisio Latii, commonly styled RAL, is the national public broadcasting corporation of Latium, owned and controlled by the Latin government, with civilian oversight by the Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of the Treasury.
RAL was first founded in 1915 as the first radio station in Latium, and as of 2018 operates 13 (and 2 overflow) television stations broadcast over digital terrestrial television and 5 radio stations. Regular programing followed two days later, and featured news service, music and readings. RAL became the largest radio broadcaster in Latium by audience share from its inception until the Social War, where is was surpassed by LTC.
RAL became the second broadcaster to launch television service, coming in four months after BRT in 1943. Today, RAL is the largest broadcaster by audience share in Latium.

All televisions owner in Latium are required to purchase a television license for £125 per television in order to legally own a television. Licensing fees are paid to directly to RAL and are classified as a service fee instead of taxation. Licensing fees are set by the Latin Senate after receiving Imperial assent.
