A Costa Megion infantry squad is comprised of ten soldiers, led by a Sargento. The Sargento is assisted by a dedicated {{Wpl|radio operator}} who is also armed with a standard rifle, generally  a {{wpl|AK-101|Fusil Asalto Modello 1993 (FAM-86)}} assault rifle. The remaining members are divided into two fireteams, both led by a Cabo. Each fireteam has three riflemen all armed with the aforementioned FAM-86 assault rifles, and one of whom will be equipped with a underbarrel grenade launcher. The final member of the fireteam is an automatic riflemen equipped with a {{Wpl|RPK|Ametralladora Ligera Modello 1986 (ALM-86)}} light machinegun. Light antitank weapons in the form of the {{wpl|C90-CR (M3)|Misil Antitanque Individual Modello 1995 (MAIM-95)}} are also available for individual solders to carry.

The Royal Mejian Army is the land component of the Costa Mejian Armed Forces. It is responsible for maintaining the territorial sovereignty of the King of Costa Mejis as well as supporting Costa Meian interests in operations abroad. It's mission is to take all necessary measures for the defense of the Kingdom against threatened invasion or any action directed against the independence, sovereignty, interests or territorial integrity of the nation or threatening to secure the life or property of citizens thereof.
